Lawyers as Leaders: Media

Videos

Leah Witcher Jackson Teague, Associate Dean and Professor of Law at Baylor University School of Law, suggests that our country needs more lawyers to step up and take on leadership roles, requiring law schools to train and teach leaders. Teague emphasizes that lawyers, with their special training, are problem solvers and advocates, with an opportunity to impact people’s lives and an obligation to contribute to society. Baylor’s leadership development program starts on day one, and highlights professional identity, service, and ethics throughout, requiring a service project, professional development work, and a practice court program.

Marco Minichiella, president of Pritzker School of Law's SBA in 2015, welcomes incoming students by relaying how the grueling and exciting study of law helps students develop skills that let them reach out into and change society.
