Using Zoom

This guide will walk you through the steps necessary to schedule and conduct course meetings and instructions using Zoom.

What do I need to attend and participate in a Zoom meeting?

To access a Zoom meeting you will need:

  • A desktop computer with speakers, webcam, and microphone OR
  • A laptop computer with webcam capabilities OR
  • A smartphone or tablet with the free Zoom app, available for your provider’s App Store.
What if I don’t have any of these?

You can attend a Zoom meeting by phone, with the call-in number on the Zoom meeting invitation.

 

What is the best way to access Zoom for Law Center courses?

You will be able to best view your options, professor, and classmates from a desktop computer or laptop.

 

Do I need a Zoom account to attend a course through Zoom?

No, you do not need to create a Zoom account to participate in a meeting, only the meeting URL or Meeting ID.
